  3. happened?

  5. A:  I don‚Äôt think his ideas ever fell out of favor 
  6. among the scholars, OK. But you see McLuhan was 
  7. a big pop phenomena, and as all pop things, they 
  8. have their moment and then they fall off or decay 
  9. exponentially. So he was just going through 
  10. natural decay of superficial admirers of his work. 
  11. What was happening though, was that a revolution 
  12. was taking place. The microcomputer was 
  13. introduced during the time of his death. He died 
  14. December 31st 1980, just when the microcomputer
